As you can imagine South America is made for communication :-) Whereever you are people are talking, smiling, laughing, shouting, dancing and so it might not surprise that Facebook is a big topic here as well. I personally was a bit surprised as I saw that the city Buenos Aires mainly publishs their Facebook-Links instead of the normal city website. The facebook and twitter icon is integrated on many company advertisement just to make sure that people get connected to them. I really had to laugh as I saw the Facebook shirt with a short explanation around this whole topic. This was finally convincing me: Facebook matters here a lot!
I collected some impressions what kind of advertisments you gonna see here now and then while walking around the city centre. Hope you can enjoy them a bit. It's not necessary to understand Spanish at all :-)During the last 2 weeks I had the possibility to perform five different interviews in 5 completely different branches. They get summarized at the moment and will be published soon. In the meantime enjoy the pictures enclosed.
Advertisment Impressions
Hi Andrea. Nice post... It matches somehow with today's Dilbert comic strip:

Nice and interesting your pictures of advertising Buenos Aires. In another nation, full of very "communicative" people like Italy, one person out of two has a profile in Facebook. Probably it has something to do with the inner need of communicating, with the people you know; maybe then with the power to make share instantly with hundreds of "friends".
Keep up the good work!
Cheers,
Vincenzo
Hi Vincenzo,
AntwortenLöschenDilbert is great :-) good that I am far away of having 700+ friends on Facebook but who knows.. if I'll keep on traveling.
Nice that you are reading the posting and of course you would feel far more familiar here than anyone else. A lot of Pizza & Pasta in combination with the way of communication you are already used to it ! Just book a flight - you will not regret it - I am sure!
cheers,
Andrea
